The 2025 Synthetic Rubber Industry Operation Analysis Meeting and the Synthetic Rubber Industry "15th Five-Year Plan" Development Plan Seminar were successfully held in Beijing on April 24, 2025. Liang Aimin, the 8th President of the China Synthetic Rubber Industry Association, Vice Presidents Gong Guangbi, Jiang Sen, Zhuang Yi, Secretary-General Li Ying, and Zhuang Qing, Director of Commodity Department 2 of the Shanghai Futures Exchange, attended the meeting.

Li Yan, Director of the Materials and Chemical Industry Department of the Petroleum and Chemical Industry Planning Institute, made a report entitled "Review of the 14th Five-Year Plan for the Petrochemical Industry and Prospects for the 15th Five-Year Plan", analyzing and reviewing the operating situation of my country's petrochemical industry in the 14th Five-Year Plan, summarizing the problems and challenges of my country's petrochemical industry in the 14th Five-Year Plan, and looking forward to the future development direction of my country's petrochemical industry in the 15th Five-Year Plan.

Tian Hongchi, Secretary-General of the Thermoplastic Elastomer Branch of the China Synthetic Rubber Industry Association, made a report entitled "The Current Situation and Prospect of my country's Thermoplastic Elastomer Industry", summarizing the overview of thermoplastic elastomers, summarizing the current status of my country's thermoplastic elastomer technology and applications, and looking forward to the future development trend of my country's thermoplastic elastomer industry.

Niu Qianqian, General Manager of the Intelligence Division of China Chemical Information Center, made a report entitled "Review of the 14th Five-Year Plan for the C4 and C5 Industry and Prospects for the 15th Five-Year Plan", which reviewed the development of the C4 and C5 industry chain in the 14th Five-Year Plan from the perspective of information intelligence, looked forward to the development trend of the C4 and C5 industry, and discussed the industrial development under the background of new tariffs.

Gu Shuangfei, Deputy Director of Nanhua Futures Research Institute, made a report entitled "Application and Practice of Futures and Options Derivative Tools in Enterprise Risk Management", which introduced the derivative risk management tools of listed companies, outlined the identification and definition of corporate operating risk exposure, summarized the management of corporate operating risk exposure, and made suggestions for corporate risk management. This paper systematically summarizes the key role of derivative tools as financial "shock absorbers" in serving the high-quality development of the real economy in terms of corporate risk management, optimizing resource allocation, and supporting the stable operation of small and medium-sized enterprises after the listing of synthetic rubber futures and options on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.
